Luka 'Lesson' Haralampou is one of Australia's most prominent slam poets and poetry educators.
Luka has been commissioned by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (2018), been a poet-in-residence at The Scottish Poetry Library (2017) and performed a number of times at the Mecca of Slam Poetry: The Nuyorican Poets' Cafe in New York City. Luka is a former Australian Poetry Slam Champion.
Luka now works to bridge the gap between teacher and student - to help make poetry more accessible and exciting for the young people worldwide. Luka's own poem: 'May Your Pen Grace The Page' now appears on the HSC curriculum list for 'Craft of Writing' in NSW.
Luka's education experience stretches across a variety of schools and contexts. From one-hour performances, to month-long residencies, to professional development sessions for teachers, and beyond.

Since 2006, Luka Lesson has conducted visits and residencies to multiple schools, prisons, community groups and education centres across the country. This experience includes being a part in the ‘Positive Schools’ conferences across Australia and Singapore - helping with the professional development of teachers at home and abroad.
